This Specialization consists of three courses that cover the z/Architecture Assembler language, from the basics through the development of working application programs. Topics include binary and hexadecimal arithmetic, z/Architecture fundamentals, Assembler language syntax, machine instructions, addressing modes, calling other programs, performing I/O operations, and additional Assembler instructions. The second and third courses include hands-on labs, and the series prepares learners to continue studying additional Assembler and IBM Z topics using IBM documentation and other suitable sources.
Applied Learning Project
Learners complete hands-on labs that involve coding, modifying, submitting, and testing z/Architecture Assembler programs on z/OS. Through these exercises, they apply machine instructions, addressing modes, program communication, I/O processing, and other Assembler concepts to develop and examine working programs.
