Great course. Good step-by-step explanations, examples and exercises. I would have expected a little bit more content in this first course, but in summary it really focuses on the very important things to learn which seems to be really valuable for me.

I enjoyed learning python panda and numpy, but I don't understand why I had to learn VIM, vscode, and git. That stuff was so boring and I dont see the use

Good for quick basics of working with bash, github, python, virtual environments and such

It's all overview tool that need to use for work in data engineer

A good beginner course into python.

A lot of fundamentals or concepts are just brushed over quickly, hardly anything is really explained to gain an in-depth understanding, except maybe Vim. It feels like there was more to this course when it was designed, but only pieces of it were filtered into a Coursera verion. This is not a course to learn something really well, more like a reminder for those with some prior knowledge. You have to find the missing pieces somewhere else.

I really liked the part where they explained how to properly set up the enviroment which I was not expecting in this course but It was very helpful. There was not that much about pandas. though. Half of the training was explaining other concepts. Some basic operations with pandas but that was about it. I liked a lot about half of the course and half of it was either something I knew or something I will not use in near future (like Vim)

This course glosses over both Python and Pandas, not enough detail.

This course is a tragic mess. Quiz answers are wrong. Labs ask for mis-spelled method names. Exercises using pip don't work. This stuff was not proofed. It is a mess and a shame to have the Duke name on it!

riddled with mistakes. Every quiz has wrong answers as right answers. The content and videos are fine, its just the quizes that are all wrong

There was nothing in the course about SQL. This course was a joke and little effort was put into creating it. Save your money
