There are 7 modules in this course

Take a dive into the architecture of Juniper devices. In this module, you'll learn about the modular software approach and their functions. We'll be looking at the separation of duties of the control plane (routing engine) and data plane (packet forwarding engine) and take a closer look at how Juniper devices process traffic (transit traffic and exception traffic).

What's included

37 videos

In this module, we'll cover various functions, split into multiple independent software processes. You'll learn about the concept of daemons and kernel based on FreeBSD, with the same source on all hardware platforms. We'll also discuss the difference between control and forwarding planes and their relevance to network traffic, routing engine and packet forwarding engine and their functions, and the separation between control and forwarding planes with exception traffic and transit traffic processing.

What's included

7 videos

Learn all the ins and outs of the Juniper Junos OS configuration format and how to interact with the device like a pro. We’ll be covering the built-in help system and CLI modes (operational, BSD shell, configuration) and configuration concepts (active and candidate and operations on them) used throughout the Junos OS. We'll top it off with the J-Web GUI interface overview.

What's included

26 videos

Get your device into production with this module on configuring Juniper devices. You'll learn authentication configuration, including role-based access control and external authentication via RADIUS and TACACS+. We'll also be covering naming schemes for Juniper device interfaces and advanced configuration functions like saving and archiving configuration.

What's included

25 videos

Now that your Juniper device is out in production, learn how to operate, maintain and troubleshoot it. Covering hardware and software information gathering for efficient investigation, troubleshooting tasks and common information and finally, maintaining your device to keep it running for the long haul.

What's included

12 videos

In this module, we'll be covering the basics of how routers talk to each other to dynamically route traffic across networks. In addition, we'll be taking a look at how Juniper devices handle traffic routing and forwarding and how those decisions are made. Finally, we'll explore how to separate routing information with tables and instances.

What's included

16 videos

Now that we've established dynamic routing, let's take a look at how you can influence routes and tweak forwarding to tailor to your specific needs. In this module, we'll be covering Juniper routing policies for influencing the export and import of routing information and firewall policies for logging, forwarding, discarding and rejecting traffic of your choice.
