Model your data to turn raw information into meaningful insights. Now that you’ve imported and cleaned your data, you can define relationships, track performance, and compare results to goals. In this module, you’ll learn the basics of data modeling, explore the Model View, and learn how relationships connect your data and support visualizations. You’ll also practice viewing, editing, removing, and creating relationships. Once your model is ready, you’ll move to the Report View to create visualizations such as charts, graphs, and maps. Each visual type highlights different insights, helping you communicate your data clearly.

Visualizations, or visuals, turn your data into charts, tables, and other visual representations that make insights easier to see and share. In Power BI, these visuals are created in the Report view, where you can customize them to highlight trends, compare metrics, and communicate your findings clearly. This module will introduce you to the Report view and show you how to add, format, and adjust visualizations to make your data more actionable.

Once you are satisfied with your data, you are ready to publish it to Power BI Service, which is also known as Power BI Online. Here your data is stored in your own personal workspace that can only be accessed by you. You will also have the ability to create a dashboard, where critical metrics captured across multiple reports and datasets are displayed on a single page or canvas.
