Finished the ETL part of Power BI course! Excited for more learning! Grateful to Microsoft and Coursera for this opportunity!

Focus a little more on examples and hand-on exercises rather than ultra specific definitions or concepts. Some questions are false just because on one word.

I found this module really hard going. There was a lot of theory and repetition and very little practical examples. Although it explained the advantages and disadvantages of various processes it didn't really explain how to use them. As a practical learner I found this very frustrating, particularly when the practical exercises given didn't cover many of the concepts. Also, while it is inevitable that there will be regular updates to PowerBI, the material seemed dated. For example, the term "data set" was replaced by "semantic model" 18 months ago and "Onelake" replaced "data hub" six months ago. I did like the coach feature, which leveraged AI to discuss learning and explain concepts. The quizzes were okay but contained one or two errors (which I flagged) and sometimes asked questions about material not yet covered. I found that I was continually reaching out to other sources to help me get through the material. All in all, hard going for little reward.

This course seemed like almost like an advertisement of Power BI. In most videos, the presenter kept trying to convince the viewer how 'wonderful' Power BI is -- I found this boring and exhausting. It would have been nice to simply focus on tool and learning how to use it. Next, the way the who program is set up, just made it hard to learn. To give an example, suppose you are trying to learn drive a car and I explain everything to you about driving a car: the roads, the signs, the pedals, the steering wheel, etc by only showing a picture of a car. This is how I felt: got a whole list of explanations and application, an influx of information, and then the end, we start using the tool or just importing data. The teaching method should be changed! I would say, overall not bad, but it's a mediocre course.

I am completely new to Power BI — exactly the audience this course is designed for — and I found the balance between theory and practice disappointing. The course needs far more hands-on exercises in Power BI Desktop and far less repetitive marketing talk. Hearing lines like “With its ability to assess data quality and provide valuable insights…” over and over made the course feel unnecessarily long and unengaging. I often felt I was spending time on very listening trivial or obvious statements instead of actually learning to build something. The course would benefit greatly from adding a deeper self-guided project and reducing the time spent on marketing-style narration. It should be more dry, precise, and instructive to maximize value for beginners.

The course content was informative and well-structured, covering the key topics effectively. I found the theoretical explanations very clear and easy to understand. However, the learning experience could be enhanced further with more practical videos and demonstrations. Adding more hands-on examples or real-world applications would make the material even more engaging and effective. Overall, a great course with room for improvement in delivering practical learning.

I felt that some technical features pertinent to ETL (e.g. triggers and actions, dataflows) are not discussed in sufficient detail. And it is not mentioned anywhere that in order to be able to access some of the features, one needs to have a work email, there is no way around.

Unneccessary repetitions can be overwhelming but it is an official guide to PL-300 certificate which is a good thing i suppose.

This course provides a good overview about only most important ETL steps in Power BI. I expected a more comprehensive tutorial.

This is more like a long series of promotional\commercial videos rather than practical tutorial. Instructed by different persons, the course lacks integrity and they go back and forth between different topics and repeat a lot of things multiple times. Some parts are tooo much basic and some parts are too advanced. A much shorter course in Udemy was much more helpful for me.

For this course. To fully learn about how to utilize Power BI Service for sharing reports and dashboards, a work or school email address is required --> If you dont have one, you can only do half of the exercises, which is very disappointing.

La transformación de datos se toca muy por encima, muchas preguntas tipo test que no sirven de nada y muy poca práctica. El ejercicio final de práctica de todo el módulo es muy corto y muy simple, no se entra en profundidad

The phrasing is redundant, tedious, machine-like and in most cases, not understandable. there are many ways to explain these concepts in an easier way to make the student understand this course

I would not recommend this course. The material is dry and there is no data provided to follow along with the instructor for most of the examples. The expectation is that you use your own data.
