End-to-End QA Testing Cycle is the capstone course for the Junior QA/Software Tester Professional Certificate. You will step into the role of sole QA Tester for a new mock application—GreenLeaf Grocers—and execute a complete software testing lifecycle from start to finish.

You'll begin by importing requirements into Jira, authoring Zephyr test cases, and manually executing tests to uncover seeded defects. You'll use BrowserStack to confirm a mobile UI bug on a live device, and Postman to isolate an API failure triggering a 500 Server Error. From there, you'll validate data integrity with SQL queries, automate the checkout path using Playwright, and push your script to GitHub via a pull request linked to your Jira ticket. Finally, you'll use Microsoft Copilot to generate a stakeholder-ready Test Summary and Release Recommendation report. Everything feeds into an End-to-End Release Portfolio—a PDF artifact to demonstrate QA readiness to employers. By the end of the course, you will automate checkout happy-paths with Playwright, validate SQL SELECT queries, commit to GitHub linked to Jira, create Copilot reports, and build a Release Portfolio. To complete this capstone, you will need to apply your skills in automating scripts with Playwright, executing SQL queries, isolating API failures with Postman, and managing pull requests in GitHub.

The release cycle begins. You must set up your tracking environment, analyze the new GreenLeaf requirements, write your test cases, and manually execute them using industry-standard tools (BrowserStack and Postman) to hunt down the seeded defects.

Yes. This capstone is designed as the final step in the Junior QA / Software Tester Professional Certificate. It assumes you are comfortable with manual testing, defect management, SQL queries, Playwright scripting, and AI-assisted QA — all of which are taught across the four preceding long courses.

You'll work with Jira Cloud and Zephyr for test management, BrowserStack for mobile device testing, Postman for API validation, Visual Studio Code with Playwright for automation, GitHub for version control, SQL for backend data validation, and Microsoft Copilot for AI-generated reporting. All tools are either free or pre-configured in the course lab environment.

You will submit a comprehensive End-to-End Release Portfolio as a PDF document. It includes screenshots of your Jira board and Zephyr test cases, two fully evidenced bug reports, a SQL validation query result, a passing Playwright script with a linked GitHub pull request, and an AI-generated Test Summary report — a tangible artifact you can share with prospective employers.

To access course materials, assignments, and earn a Certificate, you'll need to purchase the Certificate experience when you enroll in a course.
