Goodman, PhD, and colleagues. By the end of this course, learners will be able to define community-engaged research, sustainability, and capacity-building; describe the meaning and types of community; explain each of the guiding principles with emphasis on community perspectives, input from partners and trust-building; identify benefits of community-engaged research; and apply relationship-centered, collaborative practices that build on community strengths, support equitable partnerships, and involve all partners in dissemination.
